Accessibility
This site should work for everyone.
Most people who visit are reading on a phone, often in poor light and rarely with perfect eyesight. The site is built with that in mind.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.
What that means here
- Body text is never smaller than 18 pixels, and the text resizes if you zoom.
- Colours were chosen to hold their contrast on a phone screen outdoors.
- Everything works with a keyboard, and whatever you are on is clearly outlined.
- The page is built from ordinary headings, sections and form labels, so screen readers can make sense of it.
- There is one gentle animation, on the opening headline. If your device asks for reduced motion, that animation does not run.
- The site works without JavaScript, apart from the analytics choice.
Where it falls short
We test as we build, but we have not had the site independently audited. The photographs on the page are decorative rather than informative, so they are not described in detail. If you find something that does not work, we would like to know rather than not know.
Tell us
