In plain terms: we collect very little, we do not sell anything to anyone, and you can ask us to delete what we hold at any time.

What we collect, and why
If you request an interview
The form on this site asks for three things: your company name, how many years it has been trading, and your role. We use them for one purpose — to work out whether an interview makes sense and to arrange it. They go to Mehmood. They do not go on a mailing list, and we do not pass them to anyone else.
Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take steps with a view to working together. If we later want to contact you about anything other than your interview, we will ask you first.
If you email us
We keep the correspondence so that we can reply and pick up the thread later. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.
When you simply visit
We count visits so we know whether the site is doing its job. How that works is set out under cookies below.
Cookies and analytics
We use two analytics tools, and they are not the same as each other.
Plausible counts visits without cookies and without collecting anything personal. It does not follow you across other websites and it cannot identify you. Because it stores nothing on your device, it does not need your permission and it runs on every visit. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit.
Google Analytics does use cookies, so it runs only if you agree. If you decline, it is never loaded at all, and any Google Analytics cookies left from an earlier visit are deleted. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.

Change your mind
You can change your answer whenever you like, and withdrawing is as easy as agreeing.
Who else handles your information
We keep the list short on purpose.
- Vercel — hosts this website and processes the usual server records needed to serve pages.
- Plausible Analytics — counts visits. EU-hosted, no cookies, no personal data.
- Google — provides Google Analytics, and only if you have agreed. Google may process data outside the UK, protected by the UK's international transfer safeguards.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep things
Interview requests and correspondence are kept while we are in touch and for as long as there is a sensible reason to keep them. When there is not, we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to us using it. You can also withdraw consent you have given, and ask for your information in a portable form. Write to privacy@ownersbase.com and we will reply within one month.
If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this notice
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and the date at the top.
